MADRID — Millions of fans of Harry Potter got an early glimpse of the latest J.K. Rowling book hours before it went on sale.
The Spanish daily El Mundo was able to slowly reveal the cover of Harry Potter and the Mystery of the Half-Blind Prince hours before it went on sale in bookshops across the Spanish-speaking world at 6pm on Thursday night.
One the newspaper's website, the cover was slowly revealed throughout the day.
The sixth book in the Potter series tells the story of Harry's fight against the ruthless Lord Voldemort.
In the book, a 16-year-old Harry uses an ancient book of potions to defeat his enemies.
But in the process he and his friends come under remorseless attack from Voldemort and his allies.
The book went on sale in the United States as well as Spanish-speaking countries.
It is the penultimate book in the Potter series, according to J.K. Rowling.
But fans hope the British writer will change her mind and write more instalments about the life of the world famous boy magician.
