BARCELONA — A husband and wife and their son were killed by raiders at their jewellery store in an upmarket resort near Barcelona.
The couple, both aged 53, and their 24-year-old son, were hacked to death with a machete.
The two raiders burst into the jewellery store, called Royo, in Castelldefells at about 11am on Tuesday.
Police have arrested two men in connection with the triple murder.
The two, aged 53 and 20, were also said to be armed with a revolver.
Police arrested the men after a chase through the streets.
Earlier, the dead couple had been ordered to open up their shop by the alleged killers.
It is thought they did not get away with a large quantity of jewellery.
Castelldefells is popular with footballers and rich members of Barcelona society.
