Europeans, Venezuelan arrested cutting up body: police
Mali police arrested a Spaniard, a Portuguese and a Venezuelan as they used an electric saw to cut up the body of a Ukrainian national that one of them had shot dead, police said Monday.
The three men were arrested Sunday when police burst in on them as they were sawing through the body of Ukrainian Thomas Krusk at a cement warehouse owned by the Spaniard, police told AFP.
Krusk had been shot dead at point blank range in Bamako's industrial area.
"They intended to hide the body at the warehouse and wait for nightfall to throw it into the river," the source said.
Police did not immediately release further details about the murder and the identities of the three arrested men.
