HUESCA-Eight people have been killed and one seriously injured in a head-on car crash.
A lorry collided with a car on the main N-330 road between Sabiñánigo and Jaca, in Huesca, in eastern Spain.
The lorry driver was killed instantly as were six of the eight people who were travelling in the car.
One of the injured was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance while the other person was flown by helicopter to Huesca.
One of the injured died later in hospital.
Police said it was thought the people in the car were from Portugal and may have been on holiday.
The accident took place at about 2.50pm at a crossroads between the N-330 and a smaller road near Navasa.
Police said it was not clear what led to the tragedy.
