ETA Basque militants jailed in France
A French court sentenced two Spanish members of the Basque separatist movement ETA to jail terms of four and five years on Monday.
The Paris criminal court sentenced Ohiane Garmendia Marin, 34, to four years and her companion Javier Arruabarrena Carlos, 39, to five years for links to a terrorist gang and handling stolen vehicles.
They were arrested in Paris in 2009.
ETA is classed as a terrorist group by the EU and is blamed for hundreds of deaths during a four decade-long campaign of shootings and bombings for an independent Basque homeland in northern Spain and southern France.
Several members have been arrested in France in recent years.
