SEVILLE — Police arrest four people in connection with the shooting of a man who had run over a child minutes earlier.
Gaspar Garcia, 63, was shot dead at the wheel of his car in Seville after he accidentally ran over the 7-year-old girl.
Police said there were nine bullets fired at Garcia.
The girl suffered only bruises and was expected to leave hospital on Monday afternoon.
The shooting took place in Seville in Sunday afternoon.
The girl was run over as she crossed the road with a group of other children at about 4pm.
Garcia breaked when he saw the children but hit the girl.
Two gunmen, aged between 25-30, got out of a nearby lorry and opened fire.
They fired nine shots into Garcia's body and a total of 11 in all.
Police think the gunmen are related to one of the children who was with the girl who was run over.
They are analysing closed circuit camera film of the incident.
