TOLEDO — Three people were injured on Thursday when a ceiling collapsed at a parador in Toledo.
Two tourists and a building worker were injured when the ceiling caved-in, falling through into the room below.
The 32-year-old woman, from Madrid, was said to be in a grave condition after suffering serious cuts to her right arm. She was undergoing surgery.
Her boyfriend, 32, also from Madrid, was undergoing surgery after his back was broken in the accident.
The worker, 29, suffered a sprained ankle and slight head injures.
All three were hurt when the ceiling fell in near the entrance.
A fire fighter said the tourists were in bed when it crashed through the roof to the floor below.
The parador was undergoing repairs when the accident happened.
