MADRID - Former Spanish national coach Javier Clemente announced yesterday that he will accept the offer by the Iranian Soccer Federation to head up that country's national side provided that he is satisfied with the work conditions when he travels to the Asian country in the next few days.

"I will go next week to see how things are there, the installations... If I like it, I'll tell them yes," he said.

Clemente, who met with representatives from the Iranian Soccer Federation for three hours yesterday to come to the tentative agreement, was Spain's national coach from 1992-1998, and then went on to coach the Serbian national side until last December, when the team failed to qualify for the 2008 European Championship.
