Broad daylight shooting leaves two wounded

The shooting occurred in the Madrid neighbourhood of Puente de Vallecas and left two men seriously wounded.

MADRID - Two men were admitted to hospital yesterday after being shot in broad daylight in the Madrid neighbourhood of Puente de Vallecas.

Police sources confirmed that two men aged 36 and 37 turned up at a health centre at 3.15pm with gunshot wounds. After being examined by staff at the centre, they were transferred to the Doce de Octubre and Gregorio Marañón hospitals.

One of the men had one gunshot wound to the chest with both an entry and exit point, as well as facial injuries, while the other had a chest wound with no exit point. The men are said to be in a serious condition.
