LONDON - A British man who was extradited from Spain is to due appear in court in connection with a £1.25m robbery.

The BBC reported Clifford Hobbs was arrested in Malaga on 6 August on a European arrest warrant, Scotland Yard said. He was extradited to the UK on Wednesday.

The 47-year-old will appear in court later charged with conspiracy to steal £1.25m from a van in Effra Road, Brixton, south London, in 2003.

He is also charged with firearms offences and escaping lawful custody.
