MADRID - Civil Guard officers and marine conservationists have found the body of a fin whale in a secluded cove near the Catalan city of Gerona, authorities said Wednesday.

The corpse of the giant marine mammal, which was in an advanced stage of decomposition, was towed to a port in Belladona de Castell

Representatives of the CRAM animal rescue service said the whale probably died at sea and was washed ashore.
