MADRID – Victoria Beckham has finally agreed to move to Spain to live with husband David, it was reported Friday.
The Real Madrid star revealed the couple had already found a new home in Madrid for the entire family.
Victoria, 30, is to re-launch her singing career from the Spanish capital.
The England captain issued a statement to dramatically quash speculation that he was about to quit Spain for a big-money deal at Chelsea.
Beckham said: "I have a long-term commitment to Real and to my life in Spain.
"I’ve been here for one season and it feels like the job is not done yet.
"The support that I have received from the fans has been amazing and I would like to see them repaid with success. Victoria shares my vision of our life here together."
It is thought that Beckham, 29, made the decision after finally persuading Victoria to join him with sons Brooklyn, five, and Romeo, 20 months.
The former Spice said: "The time is now right for the children to move to Madrid and we are all looking forward to it enormously.
"It is a fantastic city with wonderful people and David and I are looking forward to strengthening our links with both. We are all very excited."
The statement also revealed Brooklyn will be enrolled at a Spanish school.
Frequent separations since Beckham's move from Manchester United last year have been blamed for the couple’s problems.
But sources say Victoria decided it was essential to be together after allegations that David had an affair with former PA Rebecca Loos.
Insiders said finding the right school for Brooklyn was a key condition for the move.
One said: "They tried putting him into a Spanish school when David first went to Madrid but it just didn’t work out.
"Brooklyn was unsettled and that was a big concern for Victoria. They now hope they have found the right place for him."
The Beckhams have been looking at other property in London — but for investment purposes only.
They will be keeping their spacious mansion, nicknamed 'Beckingham Palace', in Hertfordshire, south-east England.
