PALMA — The painter Miquel Barcelo unveiled his new work in the Gothic cathedral of Palma.
The 14-metre ceramic altarpiece depicts the miracle of the loaves and fishes has taken Majorcan artist seven years to complete.
The design depicts roots, branches and waves and was made using the artist's fingers.
Barcelo, who is an atheist, will see the work officially opened by the King of Spain on Friday.
