MONDRAGON-The Spanish Guardia Civil has arrested a young man for his alleged links to the Basque terrorist group ETA.

Eneko Ostolaza, is 23 and comes from Markina in the Basque Country.

But police said his arrested was linked with two other arrests of young ETA sympathisers last week.

Iker Legarra Gorostola, 21, and  Mikeldi Zenigaonaindia Aritzaga, 18, have been detained in custody for their alleged collaboration with the Basque terrorist organisation.

They were arrested when they were intercepted by a Guardia Civil control.

A search of their car revealed they were carrying fifty zutabes or internal ETA communiqués.

In raids on their homes, police found paperwork, computers and boxes full of personal effects which were being analysed.

These arrests follow the more important arrest by French police early last week of the presumed military head of ETA in France.
