Another Spanish firm to take China by the horns

5 November 2004, MADRID- Spanish wind turbine and aeronautics firm Gamesa said it would consider installing a factory in China following the sale of 165 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 137 megawatts.

MADRID- Spanish wind turbine and aeronautics firm Gamesa said it would consider installing a factory in China following the sale of 165 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 137 megawatts.

Gamesa said it was targeting a 36 percent market share in China's renewable energy market this year.

Spain sees China as a huge potential market. Gamesa is only the latest company to consider opening factories there.

China, meanwhile, continues have more cultural links with Spain - bull fighting recently started in China and is so far very popular.
