MADRID — Pedro Almodovar's new film 'Volver' is set to hit the big screen in March.

The Spanish director told EFE through his production company, El Deseo, the film will premiere in Spring.

The movie still lacks an English title, but it could turn out to be "The Return" or 'Coming Back,' as it deals with a woman who comes back from the afterlife.

In October, Almodovar finished shooting the film, in which he again casts one of his earliest leading ladies, Carmen Maura, who appears alongside Penelope Cruz, Lola Dueñas and Blanca Portillo, among others.

In the film, his 17th, Almodovar has mined his memories of childhood in the region of La Mancha and talks of the culture of death in the rural world, as well as of his mother.

'Volver' also signals Amodovar's return to the world of women and to comedy following "Bad Education."

Almodovar has won two Oscars, for his films 'All About My Mother' and 'Talk To Her'.
