MADRID (AP) - Two workers dismantling the Rolling Stones' stage at a stadium in Madrid were killed on Friday, police said.
Two others were injured while taking down the set after their performance in the capital Thursday night. One of them was reported to be in serious condition.
Police said three of the workers fell from a metal structure 10 meters (33 feet) above ground onto the fourth worker, injuring all four.
One of the workers died immediately upon impact and a second worker lost consciousness and could not be revived. He died 40 minutes later.
Preliminary police reports indicated three Spaniards and one Dutchman were involved in the accident. The two workers who died were 38 and 44 years of age, police said.
The Rolling Stones performed in the Vicente Calderon soccer stadium in the Spanish capital Thursday night.
