Beat the heat in Spain this summer by heading for the pools.

It’s pool season again! With some of the hottest temperatures of the year approaching, no matter where you are in Spain, there’s a watering hole for you cool down.

MADRID

Francos Rodriguez

Also with a kid’s pool and a beach volleyball court, enjoy this cool down spot with your family and friends.

Open daily 11am-9pm
C/Numancia,1, (Metro: Francos Rodriguez)
Cost: EUR 4.35

Lago, Casa de Campo

This is the place to see and be seen. With three pools, grassy areas, bars and restaurants you certainly won’t be bored, or boiled. (NB: The upper pool is an informal gay area).

Open daily 11am-9pm
Paseo Puerta del Ángel, 7 (Metro: Lago)
Cost: EUR 4.35

Aquópolis

This is more than a pool; it’s a whole water park with a selection of water slides and other great rides. Look out for vertical super slides, black-holes, zig-zags, fast rivers, lake adventures, wave pools and even an extensive children's area. A new attraction to the park this year is the TVs, meant for parents who don’t want to miss their favourite sporting event while supervising the kids!

Open 17 Jun-30 Aug 12pm to 8pm
Located throughout Spain
Cost: EUR 18.50
