Finding a job in Barcelona Looking for a job in Barcelona? Here are Expatica's tips to get you started on your search for work when living overseas.

The economic crisis has had a huge impact on Spain and finding work in Spain. However, Barcelona is one of the largest international cities in the world, so finding a job there may be easier than in other parts of the country.

Even if you don't know Spanish, you can usually find a job at a bar or a restaurant (waitressing, dishwashing, food delivery). If you have a good command of English, you can apply for a job in telesales, as an English teacher, or as an au pair. Do you have a good working knowledge of Spanish? The press
Check out the two English magazines for Barcelona - The Metropolitan and Barcelona Connect. Spanish newspapers like La Vanguarda (with a job section here) and El Pais (with a job section here) can also be very helpful.
