Penelope Cruz fixes conditions to be Allen's muse 02/02/2007 00:00

BARCELONA — Penelope Cruz is to star in Woody Allen's new comedy to be filmed in Barcelona this year.
Cruz confirmed she had accepted the role, but insisted other major Spanish actors should get roles, before she signed up for the part.
The Spanish starlet, who has been nominated for an Oscar at this month's ceremony, will speak English and Spanish in the film, whose name has not been disclosed.
Cruz on a Goya prize for her role in Pedro Almodovar's Volver last month.
The film is expected to start production in Spring.
