MADRID - Police and local residents continued to search the southern Spanish city of Huelva on Tuesday for a five-year-old girl who disappeared on Sunday afternoon after leaving her home to buy a packet of potato chips.

Mari Luz Cortes, a blonde-haired, green-eyed infant of Gypsy origin, was last seen by the kiosk owner where she bought the snack in the El Torrejón district of the city.

The disappearance comes as police continue to search for Amy Fitzpatrick, a 15-year-old Irish girl who vanished in Mijas, Málaga, two weeks ago.
