SPAIN - Police have arrested a 60-year-old Spanish man and his 23-year-old Colombian wife on charges of illicitly acquiring historical artifacts from South America to add to a priceless collection stashed at their home in Spain's La Rioja region.

Around 700 pieces of pre-Columbian art - such as the one displayed above by the police commissioner in Canillas, La Rioja - were apparently accumulated by Luis Ángel M. S. and his wife Albenis O. A. during their trips to Colombia, Peru and Ecuador.
