The crew of the Spanish tuna fishing boat that was hijacked by Somali pirates last week arrived in the Seychelles yesterday. The 13 Spanish and 13 African crew members, who were released on Saturday after the reported payment of a $1.2-million ransom, were all said to be in good health, albeit in an emotional state. Speaking to reporters, the ship's captain Amadeo Álvarez broke down as he spoke of his experience. "We were treated in such a humiliating manner that we were very frightened," he said.
