ETA marks May Day with bombings 02/05/2008 00:00

The two bombs were set off in Vizcaya and San Sebastian right after midnight.

BILBAO - Basque terrorist group ETA marked the May Day holiday on Thursday by detonating 11 kilograms of explosives in Vizcaya and San Sebastián.

The first device exploded at just after midnight, having been placed 15 minutes before. Its target was a warehouse in Arrigorriaga, Vizcaya, used by Social Security to store impounded cars and materials.

Meanwhile in San Sebastián, the Basque Institute of Health and Safety was targeted, with two three-kilogram bombs that detonated at 12.30am. No one was injured in the blasts.
