SEVILLE - Real Betis soccer club has announced that it will host Saturday's Liga match against Barcelona in its own stadium, despite having been ordered by the RFEF governing body to play the game elsewhere. Betis' ground is to be closed for two games in punishment for a bottle-throwing incident which injured Athletic Bilbao's goalkeeper and caused the suspension of that game.
The Seville club has appealed the ban, and argues that it will not have time to arrange an alternative venue as the final verdict will be given on Thursday.
