Barca win not enough for fans 11/04/2008 00:00
Fans got upset when the best player of the evening was substituted.
11 April 2008
BARCELONA - Barcelona accomplished its Wednesday night mission of qualifying for soccer's Champions League semi-finals with a hard-working if uninspired 1-0 win over Germany's Schalke 04 (2-0 on aggregate), but it was not enough to prevent a fresh panorama from angry fans at the Camp Nou stadium.
The protest came when coach Frank Rijkaard substituted Barca's best player of the evening, teenage star Bojan Krkic, with the game well and truly won with 20 minutes remaining.
Nevertheless, many fans howled their disapproval and whipped out the white handkerchiefs of shame. Rijkaard explained the young player had been "heavy-legged," and that the team now faced "two big games" against in-form Manchester United in the semi-finals.

I really think that Frank Rijkaard is not the trainer that can make Barça champion of spanish ligue and Uefa Cup winner. Perhaps I have no reason to say that, but I only give my personal opinion. That's all.
