Stuttgart (dpa) - Four young people suspected of killing a 19-year-old youth and burying parts of his body in concrete were questioned by police on Friday.
Three of the suspects admitted to involvement in the teenager's death but it was unclear what the motive for the killing was, a police spokesman said.
Three youths and a 16-year-old girl were being interviewed in connection with the murder, which police described as "unusually brutal."
The main suspect, aged 18, refused to make a statement, police said.
The case came to light on Thursday after the victim's torso was found north-east of Stuttgart in the southern sate of Baden- Wuerttemberg.
Divers found the remaining parts of the body in six flowerpots filled with concrete that had been dumped into a canal near the nearby town of Esslingen.
Local media said the 16-year-old, who was the girlfriend of the chief suspect, had apparently been seeing the victim.
