Vienna extends contract for Frankfurt stock platform
The Vienna Stock Exchange announced it had extended its contract for Frankfurt's XETRA electronic trading system by another five years, in a statement Tuesday.
The new contract, until 2017, will also guarantee that all new developments in the Deutsche Boerse's exchange platform be automatically introduced to the Vienna bourse, the statement said.
The trading system, which has been in place in Vienna since 1999, will also be introduced in the stock exchanges in Budapest and Prague, which like the one in Vienna, are part of the CEE Stock Exchange Group based in the Austrian capital.
The bourse in Ljubljana, also part of the group, introduced it in December.
