Vandals deface Jewish cemetery in German town

5 January 2007, Berlin (dpa) - Vandals daubed swastikas and other Nazi symbols on the wall of a Jewish cemetery and a memorial to euthanasia victims in the eastern German town of Brandenburg, police said Thursday. Police said Nazi symbols and anti-Semitic slogans were smeared at eight places in the town overnight, following a series of similar incidents in the past few months. Authorities offered a reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.

Police said Nazi symbols and anti-Semitic slogans were smeared at eight places in the town overnight, following a series of similar incidents in the past few months.

Authorities offered a reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
