MUNICH - An American student has been dragged to his death by a Munich underground train.
Rob Fortuna is thought to have tried to board the subway train at Odeonsplatz station, sometime on Friday.
Police suspect he slipped between two carriages and was then run over and dragged by the train as it left the station. His lifeless body was only spotted on Friday afternoon, when two women discovered it on the tracks.
The 23-year-old, who was originally from Atlanta and was a student at Florida State University, was visiting Munich as a tourist at the time of the accident.
Police are keen to speak to any witnesses, but say they have no reason to believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
