UNESCO Expands: Hamburg Mudflats Added to World Heritage List

UNESCO has added the Hamburg Wadden Sea, a national park around the mouth of the Elbe Riverthat is home to 2,000 animal species, to its list of World Heritage Sites. It is the fourth new addition for Germany at this year's review of new contenders for the prestigious award.
