30 June 2004, MUNICH - A 28-year-old Turkish man was set to be arraigned Wednesday in Munich after forcing a charter plane to make an emergency landing when he issued a bomb threat, police said. Police ruled out a terrorist motive saying the man had cited marital problems during initial questioning. The Airbus A320 plane had taken off for Istanbul late Tuesday when the man claimed a bomb was on board. The plane with 150 passengers and seven crew members turned around and landed safely. MUNICH - A 28-year-old Turkish man was set to be arraigned Wednesday in Munich after forcing a charter plane to make an emergency landing when he issued a bomb threat, police said.

Police ruled out a terrorist motive saying the man had cited marital problems during initial questioning.

The Airbus A320 plane had taken off for Istanbul late Tuesday when the man claimed a bomb was on board. The plane with 150 passengers and seven crew members turned around and landed safely.

The suspect then jumped off the plane, injuring himself. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
