LOERRACH, GERMANY - Three people were killed in a bloodbath above an Asian restaurant in Germany, police said.

The Vietnamese-born suspect, 27, reported to police Monday that he had stabbed or bludgeoned to death his estranged wife and two other persons. Police who rushed the scene, in the town of Loerrach on the Swiss border, said all appeared to have died Sunday.

The dead were the suspect's wife, 24, his sister-in-law, 20, and an 18-year-old man who rented the Thai restaurant downstairs from the suspect. The couple's children, aged 3 and 4, had not been present, said police, who believe the motive was business and marital stress.
