Frankfurt (dpa) - Pinpoint strikes Friday by pilots hampered German domestic and feeder flights operated by Lufthansa's Cityline subsidiary.

A Lufthansa spokeswoman said in Frankfurt that 23 flights were cancelled outright and more than 60 flights were delayed, affecting a total of 3,500 passengers. Schedules returned to normal by late morning.

The pilots are seeking changes to shift rules in the Cityline division. Friday's stoppage was organized by the biggest pilot union, Cockpit, and followed similar pilot strikes on Tuesday and Wednesday by a rival union, Verdi.

Cityline operates airliners with up to 90 seats to smaller airports in Germany and nearby European nations. The strikes did not affect Lufthansa international flights or those between its main German hubs.
