LONDON - Germany's Rainer Schuettler will head the ATP Player Council after being elected president, with Perus Luis Horna and Bahamas double specialist Mark Knowles serving in vice- presidential roles.

"For me, its a very interesting and good challenge," last year's world number six Schuettler. "I look forward to doing the best for the players."

The council also re-elected Brazil's Ricardo Acioly as player representative for the Americas region. He is joined on the Board by fellow player representatives Tomas Carbonell (Europe) and Bob Brett (International).

The Player Council is the representative body for player members of the ATP. It consists of 10 player members, as well as one non-voting alumni member representative and one non-voting coach member representative.
