Greece's decision to hold a referendum on a eurozone debt plan alarmed investors and pushed the spread between Germany and France's 10-year bond yields to its largest since the introduction of the euro.

French yields were at 122.5 basis points, or more than 1.2 percent, above those of Germany, at 1308 GMT.

Investors sought refuge in bonds from the most solid eurozone economies, including France and Germany.

Yields on German 10-year bonds fell to 1.785 percent. French yields fell, but to a lesser degree, to 3.004 percent.
