Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk is to travel to the scene of a deadly bus crash in Germany involving Polish tourists, a government spokesman said here Sunday.

Tusk will be accompanied by Poland's Health Minister Ewa Kopacz on the trip to the crash site on Germany's A10 motorway near Berlin's Schoenefeld airport, spokesman Pawel Gras said.

German police said 12 people were killed when the Polish bus crashed into a bridge in wet conditions. At least six passengers were in a critical condition.

Polish television news channel TVN24 reported that the coach, operated by Pol-Bus, was carrying 46 passengers. They were returning to northwestern Poland after a visit to Spain, it said.
