Pilot suspended after failing alcohol test

12 January 2005, LONDON - A British woman pilot has been suspended for allegedly being drunk as she was about to fly a passenger jet from Germany to Switzerland. British media reports said the captain, employed by no-frills airline easyJet, was due to fly from Berlin to Basle on Saturday when she was stopped by police and breath- tested. The 120 passengers had not boarded the Airbus 319 flight, which was due to take off early in the morning from Berlin's Schonefeld Airport.
