An Iranian film-maker and outspoken critic of his country's regime has been missing for a week in Germany, a police spokesman said Monday.

Daryush Shokof, whose latest film "Hitler's Grave" denounces the Iranian regime, was expected in Paris on May 24 but has not been seen for a week, according to the National Council of Resistance of Iran.

The film director who lives in Germany and directed Anthony Quinn in "Seven Sisters" in 1996, has held a number of hunger strikes demanding justice and freedom in Iran and is a hard-line critic of the regime, German media said.
