One dead, 11 hurt in Ukraine bus crash
A bus accident in western Ukraine on Thursday left a 59-year-old Ukrainian woman dead and 11 other people injured, Interfax news agency quoted police as saying.
Four Germans and two French nationals were among the injured. Two other injured passengers were residents of Luxemburg but police did not give their nationalities.
All injured, including five minors aged one to 15, were rushed to hospital, police said. An 11-year-old German boy was in intensive care.
"For unknown reasons" the bus which was on the way from the west German city of Trier to Kirovograd in central Ukraine drove on the wrong side of the road in the Rivne region before careering off and overturning, police said.
Police said the driver was not drunk or tired and that the bus which carried 20 people was in good condition.
