POTSDAM - A court in Germany has sentenced three neo-Nazis to eight years in prison each for firebombing a Turkish snack bar in a headline-making incident that injured one person earlier this year.

The three men, ages 20 and 21, were found guilty of attempted arson and causing grievous bodily harm in the February incident in the town of Brueck in eastern Germany.

An employee of the snack bar was injured when the men lobbed a petrol bomb through the window of the business late at night.

The court said prosecutors had proved that the defendants had been fully aware that the victim slept at the snack bar on a regular basis.

The victim quickly extinguished the blaze, but sustained burns and lacerations in doing so.
