Paderborn (AFP) - German police on Thursday said extremists used chocolate bars to draw a swastika and other neo-Nazi graffiti on the wall of a synagogue in the western city of Paderborn.

The police said they have begun a criminal investigation.

Last Friday, a rabbi was stabbed on the street in Frankfurt, also in western Germany, in an attack police said may have been a hate crime.
