Most carriers ban smoking

24 February 2004 , HAMBURG - Most carriers operating in Europe have banned smoking, with only a handful of airlines still allowing passengers to light up, the German travel magazine Reise & Preise says after a survey. Only two carriers still allow smoking on short and medium-range German domestic flights while the chance of getting a smokers' seat on an international flight out of Germany was virtually zero, the magazine said.
