BERLIN - Most Germans are not afraid of possible al-Qaeda terrorist attacks on their country, an opinion showed Tuesday.

The N-TV news channel poll showed 61 percent of Germans did not fear a terrorist attack on their homeland while 38 percent said they were afraid al-Qaeda would attack targets in Germany.

The poll, conducted by the Emnid polling agency, surveyed 501 people on 17 November. No margin of error was cited in an N-TV press statement.
