22 September 2004 , HAMBURG - German customs agents seized 2.2 tons of marijuana in a drug haul in the northern German port city of Hamburg, leading to the arrest of two Dutch nationals, officials said Wednesday. Customs officials disclosed that the drugs haul took place on 15 August. HAMBURG - German customs agents seized 2.2 tons of marijuana in a drug haul in the northern German port city of Hamburg, leading to the arrest of two Dutch nationals, officials said Wednesday.

Customs officials disclosed that the drugs haul took place on 15 August.

The marijuana, with a black market value of some EUR 6.6 million, was discovered hidden in a container carrying a shipment of wooden floor tiles from Jamaica.

The discovery led agents to the would-be recipients of the shipment, a Dutch father 57, and his 30-year-old son, in the city of Dusseldorf, officials said. The two are now in detention.
