STUTTGART, GERMANY - Authorities in Germany Wednesday said the skeletal remains of what are thought to be dozens of Jewish slave labourers have been found in a mass grave by construction workers in Stuttgart.

The remains were unearthed during construction work at Stuttgart airport, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office in Stuttgart said.

Investigators believe the bodies are those of forced labourers who succumbed during 1944-45 and were dumped in a trench and covered over. Further investigations are underway.
