DUESSELDORF - Federal authorities in Germany have launched a series of anti-Nazi, Manga-style comics for distribution to youth who are the targets of neo-Nazi recruitment efforts.

In a trial phase, the graphic-art novelettes depicting the nature of radical rightwing hate crimes are being distributed in the Cologne-Dusseldorf area.

It is there that neo-Nazis are said to be actively recruiting youth from low-income areas with few career prospects.

A test among 100 Dusseldorf school pupils showed positive acceptance of the anti-Nazi measure, the magazine said.
