Germany's Lufthansa, Europe's largest airline by passenger numbers, will resume its normal flight schedule on Thursday after days of disruption caused by the volcanic ash cloud, a spokeswoman said.

The firm expected it would run its full capacity of around 1,800 flights, compared to the around 700 it was able to operate on Wednesday, she added.
