'Last chance' Nazi search launched

28 June 2004 , MUNICH - The Simon Wiesenthal Centre plans to launch a "last chance" search for Nazi war criminals in Germany in coming weeks, according to a report. The search will begin 21 September, at which time details will be announced, said the report in Focus magazine. Wiesenthal Centre official Efraim Zuroff was quoted as saying USD 10,000 (EUR 8190) would be offered for information leading to capture of war criminals. Similar "last chance" operations are underway in Austria, Romania and Poland.
