KIEV - Ukrainian-born German boxer Vitaly Klitschko will defend his world heavyweight title in "revolutionary orange" trunks, the Ukrainian sports news service Champion reported on Friday.

Klitschko chose it because orange is the colour of millions of Ukrainian anti-government protestors, whose position Klitschko supports, the report said.

Klitschko and his younger brother Vitaly are the highest-profile Ukrainian sports figures to come down on the side of the popular protestors in the country's election crisis.

Ukrainian football star Andrei Schevchenko supports the government in the conflict, which erupted after apparent massive falsification of the country's 21 November vote.

The elder Klitschko is scheduled to put his belt on the line in a title fight against Danny Williams on 11 December.
